YOGA MOTEL was conceived while driving back to Brooklyn, after a weekend of Yoga Teacher Training in Vermont. I had a hard time wrapping my head around how long we were in the car, for 48 hours of yoga.
So the concept for Yoga Motel was born. The idea was to take over entire Motor Hotels, in beautiful places, within 100 miles of major cities and then offer an intimate, boutique-style space to the 100s of yoga studios that fill these cities… for an affordable alternative to the budget busting retreats that require getting on an airplane.
As much as we love an international retreat, there is something simple about Yoga Motel. It is intended for a quick, 2 day recharge or a week long experience with your yoga community. It is meant for a singular purpose or an open invitation to multiple yoga communities. It can also be setup as a destination for out of town teachers who want to share with a new group. Regardless, it is a safe place, for likeminded people, to learn, love and care for oneself… with space to practice, meditate, laugh and eat clean freshly prepared food.
Yoga Motel is an oasis from the chaos and a space to unplug and recharge. A place to explore your limits and make lasting friendships.
And treating yourself shouldn’t break the bank. We know that retreats can be overwhelming and traveling to distant locations, like Costa Rica or Bali, isn’t always what you need. Sometimes all you need is a quick retreat within 100 miles of your home. Everyone deserves the opportunity to connect with nature and benefit from taking time for yourself. You deserve it.
